Just got home from staying in this truly stunning log cabin, as soon as you arrive you know you have come to something special, its set in its own woods and a lovely shallow stream runs at the base of the woods which our two children had hours of fun paddling in. We didnt venture far for the first few days, children were happy exploring the woods looking for bugs, building a den, doing treasure hunts, playing with the lego, games etc available in the cabin. We visited Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend beach and North York Moors National Park, had some great days out!
The information pack in the cabin contains lots of useful information and we did a few recommended walks, amazed the children walked so far, there is a shorter walk to the windmill pub which has a tree swing on the way which we all enjoyed! The log cabin is furnished beautifully and has everything you need, lovely log burner which we only used once as we had lovely weather and a bbq. Thank you so much Tony and Sue for a lovely welcome and for the lovely hamper of food and drink. Withing a few minutes of arriving we knew we would rebook so will be booking again tonight, difficult to find such a unique setting for a relaxing retreat in the woods, looking forward to returning soon.
