Amazing!!

5 of 5
The lodge we stayed in was lovely, really cosy and the heater come in handy on the cold mornings. We had breakfast included everyday, which we took full advantage of which was really nice and made it easier for us. Would definitely visit again :)

Beautiful haven of tranquility

5 of 5
The log cabin at Irton Manor is set in a stunning location and is the perfect place for a relaxing break with family and friends. It’s also an ideal spot for a romantic weekend for two with a lovely hot tub in peaceful and private surroundings. We didn’t travel far, being local to Scarborough but that was a bonus for us. The cabin offers two beautiful double bedrooms. The mattresses and pillows were so comfortable - I haven’t slept as well for years! There’s a kitchen with an oven, microwave and coffee maker, equipped with everything you could need, including a variety of wine, champagne and water glasses. Everywhere is spick and span and immaculately presented. Washing up liquid, cloths, sponge and cleaning products are provided and there’s even a draw containing handy, every-day essentials like foil and cling film. The dining table seats four comfortably and there’s a ipod docking station to play music while you dine. We ate our meals here overlooking the beautiful gardens. The lounge has a lovely log burner which adds to the cosiness of the cabin and was great to come back into after an hour in the hot tub, to warm up, as it was a cool May evening. A TV and range of dvds are available but we were quite happy reading and admiring the beautiful view of the pond and wildlife. The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower and plenty of complimentary toiletries. So much thought and and planning has gone into the lodge. There’s a decked terrace to the front with comfy furniture for relaxing on and eating outside and a few strides away is a pretty summer house with another decked area with a barbecue, fire pit and picnic bench available for use. You are certainly at one with nature here. We could see a mother goose on the little island in the middle of the pond, sitting on her eggs until they were ready to hatch. Moorhens and their tiny chicks glided along while Canadian geese strutted their stuff, oblivious to the fact we were sitting watching them! Karen and Pete who manage Irton Manor estate, where the lodge is located, are only a phone call away should you have any questions. Karen was so helpful during the booking process and provides a great welcome when you arrive. Karen, Pete and the team are very obviously dedicated and proud to work at the Manor - who wouldn’t be, it’s stunning! We were sad to leave this beautiful log cabin, which is a truly special place. Owners Karan and Paul have done a marvellous job creating this haven of tranquility.
