We enjoyed a pleasant eight night stay in sunny Bridlington. We were pleased with the modern kitchen, the clean bathroom (without a drooping showerhead) and the modern effective heating, for some of the cooler evenings. The personal touches with the pint of milk in the fridge, the consignment of tea bags and the flowers that greeted us were very welcoming. Everything was very clean and tidy and all necessary cooking and eating utensils were supplied.
After five minutes one is at the endless sandy beach and at the park and ride where one can take the land train to Bridlington, if the mile walk along the promenade is a little too far!
The garden is nice and tidy and the table and bench allows meals to be eaten outside in the shade of the spruce tree.
I would recommend the chalet for couples or familes with small children, although I don`t recall seeing a playground on the site. Scarborough and York are reachable in an hour, I would also recommend the weekly car boot sale at strawberry fields (1 mile) or Jeromes in Bridlington for food and drinks at the sea front. For those of a sporting nature, the excellent and brand new sports center in bridlington is open to non members for a week, after signing a disclaimer.
