Beautiful log cabin in the woods, very relaxing and great fun!!

Just got home from staying in this truly stunning log cabin, as soon as you arrive you know you have come to something special, its set in its own woods and a lovely shallow stream runs at the base of the woods which our two children had hours of fun paddling in. We didnt venture far for the first few days, children were happy exploring the woods looking for bugs, building a den, doing treasure hunts, playing with the lego, games etc available in the cabin. We visited Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend beach and North York Moors National Park, had some great days out! The information pack in the cabin contains lots of useful information and we did a few recommended walks, amazed the children walked so far, there is a shorter walk to the windmill pub which has a tree swing on the way which we all enjoyed! The log cabin is furnished beautifully and has everything you need, lovely log burner which we only used once as we had lovely weather and a bbq. Thank you so much Tony and Sue for a lovely welcome and for the lovely hamper of food and drink. Withing a few minutes of arriving we knew we would rebook so will be booking again tonight, difficult to find such a unique setting for a relaxing retreat in the woods, looking forward to returning soon.

This was our first Glamping experience & we loved every minute of it. Received a text with directions from Mandy who welcomed us warmly explaining all . Enjoyed the home baked cake & bubbly in the hot tub. Very comfy bed in a very clean & well presented hut. A lovely relaxing break with everything you need in a beautiful area. Very sad to leave but will return again very soon as Mandy & Ed were fantastic hosts.

        A Five Star Oasis

Our main requirement for a week's self-catering holiday, in early April, was four ensuite double rooms for all the party. Having searched extensively in North Yorkshire for such a property, we were delighted when up popped The Pavilion at Killerby Hall. On entering the driveway, we could see we were somewhere special. The setting was beautifully landscaped and an invitation to relax in style! We were immediately given a warm welcome by Suzie, the owner, who showed us around the property. It was everything the listing description had said and more . . . a beautiful place to spend a holiday, with every attention to detail and unexpected treats to discover! Suzie is rightly proud of The Pavilion and we would not hesitate to recommend it. None of us had visited the area before and there was no shortage of interesting places to visit on foot, by bus, by car or even steam train. There was so much to do, we shall have to return! It was wonderful to unwind at the end of the day in an open plan living area, where whoever was on 'duty' could be part of the general group. We even managed to sit outside one sunny afternoon for tea & cakes and could easily imagine summery long evenings spent outside. Thank you, Suzie, for a wonderful experience at The Pavilion!
