      A peaceful stay

      5 of 5
We very much enjoyed our stay in Georgina's cottage (no 1). It was equipped with everything we needed and was comfortable and peaceful with great views from the garden. Georgina was helpful and friendly. As others have mentioned, the Raven pub is within easy walking distance for an evening meal. It was only after we got home that we found out that there are wild wallabies living nearby (in the Ballaugh Curraghs) - we hadn't noticed any at the time! We did see seals on a boat trip from Port Erin however - highly recommended.

Wonderful holidays - it was almost like home

Everything was set up on our arrival even biscuits and tea awaited us. The two bedrooms are nicely decorated and there was enough space where we could put our stuff. In the livingroom we found a tv set and in the kitchen area everything was provided you could think of. During some quite cold evenings we very much appreciated that the central heating coul be adjusted to our needs. The next pub (The Raven in Ballaugh) was within a ten minutes walk, the manificent scenery of Ballaugh Shore was just 20 minutes away and to the Wildlife Park it took us also a mere 20 minutes by foot along the dismanteled railway line. All in all Ballaterson Cottages was the best place to spend a relaxing, entertaining and still quiet fortnight on one of the most beautiful islands. If there is anything we may ask for at a forthcoming visit, it's just two things: some hooks in the bathroom to park your garment while washing, bathing or showering so that you don't have to drop it on the floor. And maybe free wifi to stay connected to our family and friends at home. Thank you Georgina!!!
