Tranquil retreat
5 of 5
The boathouse sits up in the trees overlooking the garden. The owners thought of everything such as cooking utensils, comfy bed and plenty of little touches such as books and tourist guides to make it a great place to just chill out. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and it is close to many other towns and seaside areas. I left the boathouse feeling thoroughly revived and hope to come back again in the future. Lovely owners who sent plenty of instructions to help me find the place and make sure that I was settled in.

A private and peaceful haven in the countryside
5 of 5
Silver Spring Hideaway is a truly magnificent and unusual place to stay. The star pod is nestled in the beautiful Cornish countryside right in the centre of Cornwall so it's easy to drive out to all of the fantastic beaches and attractions from Mevagissey to Lands End.
The star pod has it's own outdoor heated pool which is fed from the local spring(surprisingly warm) and all the family enjoyed a morning swim and splash about during our stay.
The facilities in the pod are very clean and well maintained and the decor is modern and homely. The owners Keri and Bill offered amazing customer service from offering advice on places to visit to offering a lift to the local pub, not to mention a yummy cream tea on arrival!
My little girls aged 9 and 7 loved feeding the ponies, chickens, fish and tortoise every morning and when "cookie" the Labrador was out to play the girls loved fussing over her too. The fields/meadows immediately around the pod are yours to explore for the duration of your stay and the secret dens, labyrinth and hammocks are a wonderful addition to the peaceful surroundings.
I would highly recommended Silver Spring Hideaway to friends and relatives, it's a gem of a place to stay because it has heaps going for it, I don't know of many places where you can have your own swimming pool, meadows and unique cozy pod to stay in for a great price.
we can't wait to return to the warm friendly place that is Silver Spring Hideaway. Thank you Keri and Bill for making our holiday one of the best xx
