Sitting here in rainy Hampshire, the sun-drenched weekend we spent in Beer seems suddenly much further away than just two days ago! We decided, on a last minute whim, to search for overnight accommodation for ourselves and our six year old daughter, for a two day beach getaway. And we feel incredibly lucky to have found Louise's beautiful Escape Pod in the charming seaside village of Beer (a favourite haunt of ours).
The Pod is immaculate - fresh, clean and welcoming. Louise has utilised the minimal space by using clever, space saving interior design techniques which really work - without compromising a sense of homeliness and style.
The kitchen lacked for nothing and the bathroom, with its fold away ceiling mounted drier rack and piping hot shower was surprisingly spacious. We used the fold down bunk beds for our daughter and slept in the sofa bed. A good nights sleep was had by all.
We especially liked the hidden sun trap behind the pod that gets the evening sun and also the thorough pod and local information cards that Louise has hanging inside.
Louise was friendly and accommodating and the basket of breakfast goodies we bought was ideal. We will be coming back, for sure - that's if The Escape Pod isn't fully booked for the rest of the summer!
