We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Neville's holiday home in Paignton. We are a family of four, one 5 year old, one two year old.
Neville met us there on our arrival to show us the ropes. The home is extremely well equipped with the extras you need so don't feel you need to take them - for example, dishwasher and washing machine tablets, washing up liquid, cling film, tea and coffee, toilet roll, hand soap in bathrooms, etc. Neville even left us a treat of some champagne in the fridge! Very welcome!
There are lots of towels provided and bathrobes which are useful for the hot tub, which was great fun, very relaxing after the kids had gone to bed.
We were able to fit a travel cot in the second bedroom so this was perfect for us. The only thing we did need was plastic plates/bowls for the little one, so take these if you need them.
The home has a lovely balcony to enjoy breakfast/dinners in nice weather with stunning views of rolling hills. It's very quiet so we could let the kids play outside on the balcony and the nearby grass.
A car is essential as you're not walking distance to anywhere, not a problem for us. It's very near Paignton Zoo which is a good day out. There is an Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons all within a short drive.
There are lots of really nice things to do with young children in Paignton and Torquay, no problem to fill a 10-day holiday. Ours particularly enjoyed Woodlands Theme Park.
If you don't want to venture far in the evening, the Blagdon Inn is on the development. We went on buffet night, which was Italian - seemed very popular and we enjoyed the food. The regular menu looked nice, there's much more choice than they show on their website.
We also visited the leisure centre on the complex, which was free to use. Ours enjoyed the swimming pool, it has a shallow area for little ones. Also a small play park outside to while away some time!
All in all, a wonderful stay. Thanks Neville!
