A cracking little cottage

5 of 5
This cottage is in the little village of Georgeham, not far from the surfing beaches of Croyde and Saunton. It's off the main road in the middle section of garden belonging to the Old Bakery B&B. It's a real little gem! On arrival, we were greeted by the owners David and Pippa who instantly made us feel at home and offered advice about the cottage itself and the surrounding countryside. The place is tiny but immaculately clean and tidy and very well appointed with all the kitchen mods you could wish for. The sound-proofing is excellent, even on a night when the wind was blowing a gale we could hear nothing, the cottage is a very peaceful place to stay. Most mornings we were visited by the owner's dog, a lively spaniel called Bobby who was always a delight to see and make a fuss of. Georgeham is a good base for exploring North Devon, my partner and I roamed all over the place and put in plenty of miles both walking and in the car. A note of caution, the roads around Georgeham are very narrow and hardly a journey goes by without having to pull in several times to let other traffic pass. That said, I never found it a chore and managed the week without incident. All in all, We loved our week and would definitely recommend this delightful little cottage to anyone.
