My wife and I have just returned from spending a wonderful two weeks in Chances apartment. This was our third visit and it easily lived up to its five star rating. Everything about the apartment is top class and it is very well equipped from the furniture to the crockery and bedding. The beds are very comfortable and the place is spotlessly clean. As pensioners we very much appreciated the lift and parking outside the front door. Nicer people than Noel and Mary don’t exist, they are very friendly and bend over backwards to help you. I would have been happy to have never left the apartment as the views from the picture windows and the balcony are breathtaking. There are many types of birds and even a few seals which follow the tide in and out of the bay looking for fish.
Dundrum has two pubs and two good restaurants as well as a general shop with a post office and filling station. About three miles away the seaside town of Newcastle is well worth a visit with its fine promenade and abundance of shops and cafes. For the energetic the Mountains of Mourne start abruptly at Newcastle and there are several forest parks within a few minutes drive. About forty minutes drive will take you to Belfast and the Titanic centre.
