          Songbirds and squirrels

Enjoyed a lovely week at this beautiful chalet, with a very friendly owner to look after us. The chalet is very roomy and comfy and everything you can think of provided. But the attractions of the garden are just as enjoyable; afternoons spent on the warm patio listening to birdsongs and watching the squirrels around us in the garden will stay in our memory for a long time. Enjoyed meals at the Pilot Boat Inn in Bembridge and the Yarbridge Inn nearby. Would recommend walking from Ryde to Seaview along the promenade and beach. Lots of cafes in Seaview but we enjoyed coffee and cake at The Old Fort café right on the seafront overlooking the Solent.

'What a lovely stay. Beautiful location, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped. We are very sad to leave. The perfect antidote to London stress out fever!' Colin & Nell - Feb 05 'This charming little dwelling is tastefully decorated and well-equipped. The hut's interior decor is crisp and fresh, while the outdoor terrace has the most stunning views of the sea' Prima magazine - Jan 2005 issue 'Thenkyou so much for a lovely holiday at the Boathouse. It was ideal in every way and we thought it was beautifully decorated! We would love to come back again next August' The Taylors - Aug 04 'Arriving at high tide, we're greeted by waves sploshing over the sea wall, just 25ft from the front door. Inside the view from the sofa of passing ships battling the heavy seas is glorious. When the tide recedes, it reveals a crescent of sand with rock pools and we agree we'd love to return in Summer' Marie clare Magazine - April 05 issue
