                      5 of 5
My wife and I are constantly on the lookout for a new and exciting Caribbean destination offering amazing accommodations, picture post card beaches, wonderful snorkeling opportunities and convenient island amenities. Tropical Hideaway was a winner in every way! Read the many glowing reviews. Take the time to read one of the most comprehensive web sites ever and you will also conclude that TH is a can't miss destination. Hosts Martin and Julie have thought of EVERYTHING in the design, construction and operation of this incredible villa with 5 accommodation options to choose from. We stayed in the Infinity Studio and were blown away by the quality and uniqueness of this spacious "room". From the bed to the bathroom, to the kitchen facilities and the amazing views, WOW will be the main word used to describe your initial impressions. Don't hesitate to make TH your next Caribbean getaway.

                      Wonderfully Relaxing Place to Stay

                      5 of 5
I stayed here for a total of 7 weeks, initially in the larger apartment with friends and after they left I moved into the smaller apartment. Both were well equipped and very clean. Conrad and Ina are very hospitable and do everything they can to ensure that you have an enjoyable and rewarding visit. They are always looking at ways to improve their guests' experience, and whilst I was there installed a WiFi booster which ensures there is now a good signal throughout the property. The pictures show that Rainbow Castle has wonderful views, which means it is high above the town and the road is steep which is not a major problem going down, but is quite strenuous coming back! I am over 70 and usually walked it, but a taxi is quite cheap $15 EC, which is less than £4 or $5 US. The closest beach is only 20 minutes walk and there are others further on, I walked to Lower Bay in about 35 minutes from the apartment and across the island to Industry and Friendship Bays in 45 minutes and so if you like walking and are fit the whole island is available to you by foot from Rainbow Castle.

                      A month on Bequia

                      5 of 5
We stayed in Shades of Blue apartment for the month of October. The view from the balcony is incredible and you can never tire of waking up to Princess Margaret beach. The apartment is high up on the hill so will only suit reasonably fit travellers as there are a lot of steps up to the property but once there it is worth it. The Belmont walkway is a bonus for walking into Port Elizabeth and is by far the prettiest walk into a town that we know of. If coming back if loaded with shopping a taxi was a good choice. October was extremely quiet and only a couple of restaurants were open so we self catered for nearly all of our holiday. Lots of options for interesting meals from Barracuda bought on the beach to anything you could ever require from Doris's, but at a price. We shopped at knights grocers and Darkes fruit and veg stall. The apartment is lovely with wonderful comfy beds and luxurious cotton sheets. 2 outside showers which were a lovely treat. The infinity pool is just gorgeous and a very welcome treat after managing the steps. Princess Margaret beach awaits you at the bottom of the steps and the lovely Fay who sells drinks, souvenirs and t shirts will watch over your bags whilst you swim. On cooler days we walked to Friendship bay, Paget Farm and also Crescent beach. You can use the taxi services which are quite unusual and driven by some wonderful characters Elvis, Fatman and Elson to name a few. Most charge 20 ECD (£5) for the short ride out of town and the nominated taxi driver for the apartment Julian charged 25ecd and on our departure 40ecd as it was a 6 am pick up. We used the ferry to St Vincent 25 ECD per person each way. An interesting tip we heard about but would consider is to hire a car in St Vincent as it is cheaper and you can stock up at the supermarket before the ferry across. The staff Cass and Ottley at the property are lovely and are very knowledgable. The garden is fascinating with lots of different fruit trees, mangoes. plantain, passion fruit, pomegranate to name a few. Thank you to Monica for sharing her home.
