The apartment is perfectly located with easy access to the beach and several wonderful restaurants near by. The centre is a 5 min walk, where some bars provide you with free Tapas with your drink which was a wonderful. A relaxing holiday (apart from leaving on a fiesta day which we were sad we missed and did cause a bit of a panic regarding the public transport as the parade starts right next to the apartment block). We were able to walk to the other side of town and catch a bus back to Malaga but it was slightly hectic due to other travellers also having the same idea of leaving in plenty of time. The only criticism is that the shower doesn’t drain very well so best to leave a gap between each of you showering and we had to source plastic bags for our rubbish. The apart would benefit from a DVD player. The check in and out times are not flexible and we did struggle with this on our departure date due to our flight not leaving until midnight and we had to be out of the apartment by 10am. Flights from Bristol leave first thing in the morning and last thing at night and made the journey home a lot more difficult than we would have liked. There was some reconstruction starting from early in the mornings for the beach due to the shoreline sometimes being quite rough. They stopped for lunch and didn’t work on weekends. We mainly only ate lunch and breakfast in the apartment, varied throughout our stay. There are plenty of reasonable places to eat and drink. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of red wine. Will definitely be returning to this beautiful place. It’s extremely easy to catch a bus from the airport to the centre of Malaga and then a direct bus to Nerja. It takes between an hour and an hour and a half, depending on which route the bus takes. Be aware that some buses only take tickets which you will need to purchase in the bus station, cost €4 pp, each way. A handy tip is that you buy your outgoing and return ticket at same time but note that you will need to get the return ticket validated by the ticket booth before they allow you on the return journey. A must try restaurant is La Bottega, in front of the apartment block. You must try this restaurant. Not cheap but worth every penny. There are a lot of beggars etc in Nerja and can make meal times uncomfortable with at least 4 ppl coming to your table during your meal. La Bottega politely turned them away and we weren’t disturbed onc
