Idyllic setting, oasis of calm a short walk from the walls of Lucca. Peaceful location, 2 minutes walk to local patisserie, ATM, bars, cafes, ice cream parlour, pizza takeaway, 2 small local grocers selling delicious local meats, fresh fruit and veg, breads, wines and cheeses. Well placed for 5 minute stroll into the heart of Lucca. Friendly, helpful owner. Good secure car parking. Villa is clean, basic but spacious. Towels and linen provided. Air conditioning worked well. Well equipped kitchen, great storage space. Clean bathroom, small shower cubicle but worked well with hot water all day. Stunning pool. Please note that the description is a bit misleading. The pool is not private for the one villa, ....it is shared between 10 holiday lets so at peak season there could be 20 + people. It was very quiet when we were there (out of school holidays) but if all accommodation was filled it would be very busy around the pool area and there are not many sunbeds (4)....and they have seen better days...old and very uncomfortable. Would recommend. Good value for money. Chrissie and Pete.

      Loved it!

Spent a week here in the summer (2010) and loved it. The pool area is beautiful and completely private with great views overlooking Collodi . There is also a bbq area with fridge/coffee machine and table tennis. The walk to the pool is maybe steep for older people but the grounds were ideal for my kids (7 and 8). The house has all the facilities you need with an impressive master bedroom with more beautiful views. I loved the location – the hills are beautiful and relaxing – but 5 mins from Collodi and maybe 20 mins from Lucca. Some great local restaurants too.
