Stunning, truly stunning place you can't go wrong

I am not able to articulate well enough just how fantastic this Villa and the West of Crete is, below is my attempt... Manolis, and his family are the kindest hosts we've ever experienced. The villa is beautiful, it's clean, well equipped, well looked after and beautifully located. The pool is a very welcome treat after a long day exploring the beautiful island of Crete. We were welcomed with lots of lovely fresh fruit, eggs, honey, raki and yoghurt. Manolis gave us the lowdown on great places to explore and eat, every one was a winner and we were very warmly welcomed at all the restaurants/tavernas he suggested. We had visits from an owl, we regularly saw birds of prey flying and hunting over head. The villa's located near to the E65, main road and there's easy access to plenty of local shops for your sundries. All in all this was a beautiful experience and I can't recommend it enough. We've already booked another stay there next year.

Beautiful retreat in a small village outside of Chania

We stayed at Sarah and John's villa for 4 days in July, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped - ideal for two of us, but also had a couple of extra guests staying the spare twin room for one night. The garden was the perfect place to relax, swim and bbq. The area is surrounded by orange trees and figs, and while the cottage was next door to Sarah and John's house, it felt isolated and private. There is the Nostas vinyard nearby. We had a rental car which I would say is essential for staying here, and being relatively close to Chania, meant that we were not too far from supermarkets, beaches and restaurants. Sarah and John were very welcoming, and gave us some good tips about nearby tavernas and activities. John even popped round for a bottle of raki, which we happily emptied over good conversation. Highly recommend this villa for peace and quiet, and enjoying some of the amazing local produce that Crete has to offer.
