Beautiful property. Very quaint. Quiet and secluded

If you want a quiet relaxing holiday away from all the crowds this is the place to stay. Tavernas beaches and shops all within walking distance. Recommend Green Beach which has its own taverna and on the edge of the town. Dragons Cave taverna is a beautiful place to eat. The view is incredible. Their home made yoghurt is to die for. Robinsons is also a great place to eat. Situated in the next town. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who came to stay in the adjoining cottage for a couple of days. Emma and her husband George where lovely and gave us good tips on where to eat etc. On the whole this was probably one our best holidays. The cottage is tiny. Very quirky and traditional. Absolutely beautiful.

A beautiful cottage with stunning views

                    5 of 5
The cottage has been designed and built with great care and attention to detail - there's plenty of room inside for two but the terrace outside has it's own cooking facilities so when the weather's warm you just live outside and take in the views over olive groves and the Mediterranean. Aliki lives next door with her family and gave us a great welcome. Little gifts of fruit and wine made us feel like special guests. She recommended local tavernas, beaches and sites, many of which we'd never have found without her guidance. You need a car to explore the eastern end of the island - there's far more to see and do than we could manage over a week's stay. The mountains are spectacular and there are beaches with very few people around. The food is mostly localy produced and delicious. Fresh fish, fruit and vegetables better than anything available at home. Cretans are friendly, kind and embarrassingly fluent in English. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend Aliki's cottage.
