First impressions were of a beautiful, cosy cottage offering rest and peace and great views at the end of a difficult Easyjet journey. From that first moment the appreciation just grew and grew until the final realisation this was simply a faultless and utterly fabulous holiday destination. Situated in the top right corner of Corfu high above arguably the best beaches on the island, Cobblers Cottage has everything. But what makes it stand out from so many other lovely destinations is the location. The views across to the mysterious broodiness of the Albanian coastline are an utterly captivating scene of changing light and mood. Sunrise is jawdropping. Then the fact that the cottage is situated in an enchanting bowl of cypress, olive and oak trees with so much wildlife on the ground and in the air. To top that the wonderful beaches, each with its own special character, are within easy reach in a car. The cottage itself is a charming blend of very modern (check out the shower room) and more traditional ( for instance the bedroom with its high, exposed beams). The only problem so far as I can see is whether to stir yourself from the patio to go anywhere else because there is so much to appreciate just being there. Michael was a wonderful, friendly host, unobtrusive yet maintaining a helpful presence. His attention to detail is very evident and needless to say the cottage is very clean with many useful facilities. Everything is exactly as described in the details but you have to discover the wow factor for yourself. Impossible to recommend Cobblers too highly in my view.
