What a great little house

5 of 5
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your house. The area is traditionally French, and it is fantastic to be so close to the river. We also enjoyed a few meals at the local restaurant. We found the house to be clean, tidy and with everything you would need, and slept really well in the very comfortable bed. We look forward to visiting again.

Lovely and idyllic retreat on the French Vienne

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay in L'isle de Jourdain and even had a nice bit of early April sun. The home is quirky, clean and cosy. It's well furnished and has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. There is even British television through Amazon Prime channels which was great to watch in the evenings. Not that we had many evenings in as there is lots to see and do in the town itself but also outside - many breathtaking hiking trails and ammenities around. There are many British residents around so it was nice to occasionally hear a 'hello' whilst out in the many pubs and restaurants of the town. Futuroscope is a must if you can travel out far enough and Oradour Sur Glane - albeit being a small distance is amazing to witness. Definitely will stay again.
