  • What a place!

I have just spent a week at Clos Castaing with family and we enjoyed every minute. Unusually for us we could have happily spent a couple more weeks there. The new pool is a wonderful addition and we also swam in the Dorgodge which is just few steps away. The Chateau has clearly been a well loved home and has a lovely aura. The surrounding countryside and villages are absolutely beautiful. Thank you to Collette for her warm welcome.

  • Fantastic week in a lovely big house

We had a fantastic week here. 9 of us from 18 to 75 years old. The pictures don't really do the place or the pool justice. The house is massive inside. For us you had a lovely big table where we could all sit easily when we sat inside. This is right by the kitchen and then just down from the steps from the kitchen is a large outside eating area right by the pool. Just lovely to all be so close. All the bedrooms are large and en suite, I think it is run as a b&b in the winter. 2 lounges both with UK tv and wifi throughout. Alison was around if required and very helpful but not intrusive. Castillonnes, Isseague and Villereal are interesting little towns with great markets , night markets great, and between the 3 had plenty of great places to eat. The main restaurant in Castilliones by the cinema was great, fantastic food very friendly and not too expensive. Canoed in villefrenche sure lot but too hot to do much else but stay near the pool. Very relaxing week. Best place we have stayed in as the family
