Amazing

What a fantastic place to stay. It's like living in a piece of history! Everything we needed was provided. The house was really clean and comfortable. The view from the terrace is great although not accessible from the back of the house but we just passed our bits through the window and walked round. The house is half way up a hill, so no getting out of a climb one way or the other. Down is the river, very pretty and a nice bar/restaurant to sit and while away the hours. Up is the town, sadly not many shops still open but a few restaurants, boulangerie, boucherie, supermarkets and a tourist office. I can highly recommend 'Le Cheval Blanc' for an excellent french meal at a great price. There are a few larger supermarkets about a 2 minute drive away. We didn't do a lot in the area as only at the house for 3 nights and we were there to relax and enjoy the house and town.

Just perfect !

Suzie 's home is a beautiful house extremely well-located to visit Limousin,in a small village, close to the church (but the bells don't ring!).It's very close to lovely walks,Château du Fraisse (a wonderful visit),and other beautiful places like Mortemart. The house itself,is incredibly quiet, comfortable ,extremely well-equipped ,and cosy. The garden is a nice little garden, sunny ( when there is sun!), and so British for my French standards. The main room is so big and overlooks the garden. The kitchen is equipped as if the owner was a chef! Maybe, she is! Finally, I want to say that I have never seen a property owner so reactive whenever I had a little question or a small problem. On three occasions,I asked Suzie questions so for example, how to get French channels or where the fuse box was( because a bulb was off),Honestly,I just had time to send my mail, she would so kindly write back the answer. Also, she has a friend ( Liz) who lives nearby in case you have a bigger problem. Finally, one more thing: I love the Tour de France, I love English ( it's also indispensable in my job), but to watch a British cyclist winning the 2017 Tour on an English Channel last Sunday from a beautiful house in the heart of the French countryside ( so green for me because I live in the Parisian suburbs) will remain my best memory of that great international sports event! So ,naturally,I want to say a very, very big " thank you " to Mrs. Suzie Hall Marie Hamelin
