Great spot for touring the Northern Coast of Bulgaria

        4 of 5
The property was a good size and in a great location for touring the coast from Cape Kaliakra and Kavarna down to Golden Sands and Varna. The closest resorts were Albena and Kranevo which both had fantastic beaches and a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants (5 minute drive/2-3 miles distance). We tended to eat regularly at Balchik which had numerous high quality and reasonably priced restaurants (15 -20 min drive). We had some great days out and in particular enjoyed the sights in Varna, the Petrified Stone Forest (10 miles east of Varna), a coastal speed boat ride from Balchik and Aladzha Monestary near Golden Sands. We had a great all inclusive day at the Grand Hotel Varna and played 2 fantastic golf courses at Thracian Cliffs and The Lighthouse both of which had great facilities for the non golfers. The villa itself was very spacious and comfortable although we did not spend much time there. The pools were well located and never too busy and the lady who ran the bar/restaurant on site was absolutely charming. We only ate there once towards the end of the holiday and it was delicious and well priced. I think that to really enjoy this villa you should hire a car which we did (or expect to use the local taxis) as the village itself is quite basic. If you do however sort out your transport this is a great villa in a great spot for getting around. We would thoroughly recommend it.

Stay in Villa Francesca – August 9th to 16th

        5 of 5
Stay in Villa Francesca – August 9th to 16th 2 children and 2 adults family After having written to Mike De Suza (the owner) for several months, realising he was always ready to answer, I decided to book this house for a week, an opportunity to have a nice rest during our whole trip. As we arrived there, discovering the beautiful house, we were happy that everything mentioned on the website was indeed in this place. During the entire week, the house was even more than we expected : big, sunny, very comfortable with a very large swimming pool, peaceful ... not to mention Toni's (Mike's local correspondent) anytime helpfulness. Furthermore, the villa is closed to the sea (by car) ; and everything needed, especially food, is located only a few kilometers next. When we left the villa, we all thought it was one of the most lovely place we had ever seen. Ged
