This houseboat is a quirky, unique experience. You have to be able to go down a ladder to get into the living quarters. The sleeping berths are across from one another. We slept parents in one, teenager in the other. Our second teenager slept on the narrow sofa in the living/kitchen area (it isn’t quite a futon, and not cushy.) The ability to sit up top, outside is excellent. There are two rows of houseboats, and this one is on the inside, nearest to the street, not the water. The location is ideal, close enough to tram/metro/uber to all the things you want to see and do, but not in the a loud, crowded tourist area.
We just loved this placed. So cosy and well located in the Jordaan. Cristina was extremely helpful from start to finish, as was Nicola who greeted us at the apartment. What a charming woman she is, so friendly and welcoming. I've never had anyone go into such detail in terms of explaining how everything works. She was simply fantastic. Everything worked as it should have and was extremely comfortable. When I come back to Amsterdam, I'll certainly be staying here.
