One of the best stays we have had in Kalkan. The property is well located adjacent to a fairly quiet road within a short walking distance from the Junction Restaurant and the weekly market, and several good restaurants on the Kalahari Road. It took us about 15 mins to walk into town centre. We returned by taxi as there are a few steep hills. Taxis are everywhere and only cost 20TL (including tip). The villa itself is clean and well equipped. The supporting service is unintrusive and the local manager is very responsive if help is needed. Our one problem at checkin was that the previous tenant had neglected to inform the Manager that the A/C was not working in one of the bedrooms. Consequently, we had to do without it for a couple of days until it was fixed. The pool is deeper than usual which we enjoyed, but it might not be so good for small children. The mature bushes and shrubs around the villa together with the 9 tall palm trees alongside the road outside give the sense of a quiet oasis. Our only regret was that we could not fully enjoy the comfortable outdoor furniture on the roof terrace as it was too hot without large umbrellas or some other shade. Finally, we were anxious about having to leave the villa by 11am on our final day as our taxi was not scheduled until 5pm. The manager, Mehmet , made it possible for us to stay in the villa until our taxi arrived, which was much appreciated.
Just spent a great 12 days at Villa Gin & Tonic. All was very accurately described on the details page however there is a wow factor when you arrive and see the view as it's magnificent. The whole process of booking and checking in was seamless with great communication throughout. Nice little touches like a welcome pack on arrival and fresh bread delivered each day. Certainly would love to return. Thanks to all.
