Really well proportioned property.
So many seating options with balconies facing sea, inland and a good sized patio.
Kitchen/lounge area makes good use of space. Lounge Sofas are ok but not the most comfortable we have sat upon.
Upper bedroom is excellent-balconies front and rear with various seating options.
Good Entertainment options and a very convenient location.
Overall we really enjoyed our visit.
Sandy Lodge is an exceptional place to stay, with twin bedrooms and a master, it also has two wonderful, different mezzanines from which you can see the dunes and the beach. A large, open plan kitchen and lounge also sits next to a conservatory out the back, where the view is endless and the sunsets are inspiring.
With nearly 15 other family members staying in and around Southwold, Sandy Lodge was big enough for people to congregate for dinner and we enjoyed having a birthday party for an 11-year-old out the back, spilling in to the garden and patio. A barbecue is also there, although we didn’t use it.
Clean, styled without the useful fluff of seaside merchandise and impeccably presented, it felt like a real treat to stay there. We walked the dog across the dunes and beyond, enjoyed chaotic service at The Sail Loft and bacon butties at Gun Hill. The centre of Southwold is a short and pleasant four minute walk away, less is you’ve got a young puppy pulling on a lead!
Ben answered all my questions kindly and helpfully, I found nothing lacking at Sandy Lodge and look forward to returning next year. Would highly recommend.
