  • Fantastic accomodation and perfectly placed to explore Rome and the nearby beaches and lakes

We enjoyed a week in August exploring Rome with our two teenage children. There is so much to do and see, we were spoiled for choice. We spent two days in Rome and opted to get the train and metro which was really easy. The train station in La Giustiniana is only a 5 minute drive from the house and the centre of Rome only a 25 minute train ride. A family ticket for the train and metro all day was only €12. A car is essential and on the other days we visited a lake, beach and the port at Ostia. The house has a great pool and it was very welcoming returning from a days sightseeing for a cool dip. The accomodation is a self contained annex as part of a larger house. The house is fantastic and the annex is very private and extremely well equipped and spacious. The owners were really welcoming and helpful providing useful recommendations for the best places to visit and eat out and even a few tips on the best local wines. Overall, this is a great place to stay and explore Rome and its surroundings. A very peaceful location and perfectly placed to see the city and also enjoy quieter days by the lakes or on the beach. There is tennis nearby and plenty of golf courses which if we'd been there longer I would have squeezed in a round or two. We will definitely stay again if we return to Rome.

We had a wonderful holiday here for mum mothers 70th birthday. The owners were incredibly helpful and hospitable. The villa was clean and welcoming. The beds were firm and comfortable. The pool was fabulous and well looked after. Our young children's had an amazing time, lots of space to run about and have fun. The local village is endearing and the people kind and friendly. The trip into central Rome was easy and cost effective. We had a very memorable stay here and hope to return. Thank You Claudia (and Michela) for sharing your beautiful home.
