This is a marvellous villa, in a truly lovely position.
The property is extremely well equipped, the views from the bedrooms, terraces and pool are spectacular. Inside the villa, everything is very high quality, comfortable and stylish. Danielle met us at the villa and was very welcoming and accommodating - check out was equally easy.
The local village is an easy walk down hill with some lovely places to sit and eat, the beach can be reached on foot (a little rough but manageable in flip flops!) and the small towns such as Mires and Matala sell everything you might need. The bakery in Mires is a must.
Overall, this was a fantastic stay, the photos really don't do it justice - we hope to return very soon.
This was a very pleasant 9 day stay in one of the nicest holiday homes we have stayed in. It is sympathetically restored, yet has everything you could need including air con, wifi, dishwasher, etc. The village is also very appealing: it has a good cafe, taverna, a couple of butchers and a small store -- larger supermarket type stores are available 3km away in neighbouring larger towns. But we rarely used them, finding most of what we needed in the village itself. With only a handful of holiday lets it has a pleasingly local, working feel. The neighbouring olive groves afford good walks and running terrain, and you are with a short drive of various beaches. We liked it so much we may return again at a cooler time of year to do some more serious walking in the local mountains—the scenery between here and the sheltered beaches at Kali Limares is particularly spectacular, as is the gorge walk at Rouvas; and if you visit the local ruins at Phaistos at 8am when they open, as we did, you will likely have them entirely to yourselves even in high season, for over an hour.
