We had a little trouble locating the property but on arrival were welcomed by Lucia and shown our lovely home for the next four days before exploring more of the island. It was unseasonably cold for mid May so the heating was turned on that first night and we really needed it!
Fortunately, the weather recovered and we were then able to enjoy the brilliant outside space. The property is well placed between Alghero and the impressive coastal landscape of Capo Caccia and unspoilt beaches such as Porto Ferro. The latter is known for surfing but this Cornishman was not to find waves on this occasion! October could be a different matter, I imagine. The local beach, Bombarde, is very pleasant with tranquil waters ideal for swimming and a cafe bar on the beach. As Lucia suggested, though, Spiaggia Della Pelosia, just beyond Stintino, is an absolutely stunning beach, her favourite definitely one of the very best in Sardinia. Well worth a visit. Back at the apartment is a large, very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. In fact, the property is very well equipped, it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Thoroughly recommended.
I really enjoyed staying here. The apartment is really spacious, extremely neat and we really enjoyed stargazing from the ridiculously comfortable chairs out on the veranda (you can't see them in the photo).
The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you need and the whole apartment is clean and tidy with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lucia also gave us some excellent tips and maps for the area.
You definitely need a car here - this was fine for us. There's a lot to do and see in this area with Alghero a short drive away and a lot of beautiful beaches to choose from a few minutes by car. It's a great area for coastal walking.
Lucia is an excellent host. Her communications for making arrival plans and welcoming us to the apartment were brilliant and it was really lovely to meet her.
