The Coves is the ideal base for visiting the north Antrim Coast.
We stayed here with our dog and found the cottage to be a very quaint and comfortable home from home.
Rosalind is a wonderful host - very friendly and knowledgable about the local area.
The house is quaint and little touches like fresh flowers, lots of books, a welcome back of soda bread, jam, milk, tea and coffee is a real bonus. The weather was unseasonably cold for our visit and Rosalind made sure we had plenty of logs to keep the stove lit in the evenings.
For anyone traveling with their dog, I'd recommend The Fullerton Arms in nearby Ballintoy for dining out and the Marine Hotel is Ballycastle is also dog friendly, with a very nice coffee shop.
This property is even better than it looks in the photo. It was very clean & has all the facilities you would want including a TV with Netflix capability for evenings. The main kitchen/diner/living room was a delight to be in with so much light coming in & so peaceful with a great view of the extensive garden. The cottage is very comfortable & the owner provides plenty of communication & a very easy access method. Used the Tuk Tuk Asian restaurant in the village which was great and a has an early bird special before 7pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. The Hoops cafe in the village allows dogs in too. Parking is in the church car park opposite & close. Its just under 20 miles to Belfast for all the attractions so reasonably close but lovely & quiet to come back to & relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & just wished I'd booked for longer.
