This rental is in the Kensington area. It’s the lower level of a beautiful row home with its own private entrance. It has all the amenities needed - a small but serviceable kitchen (we did not cook or eat in so I can’t address the kitchen equipment), good storage space for clothes, and a spacious studio area with a bed, love seat, and table . It also has a clothes washer in the unit which came in very handy! WiFi worked well as did cable tv.
The bath room is small ....very small...and there is a separate room for “the loo” which is equally small. Both are useable but we’re tall people so we had to adjust some.
We had good interactions with the owner - we ran into no problems with the unit but based on our interactions, I believe he would have been responsive.
This rental is near bus stops and a tube station but unfortunately the tube station is only used weekends and holidays.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in London and having this rental as our home base.
This is an ideal apartment. Beautifully restored building, very comfortably furnished, and exceptionally provisioned with 'essentials' that are often lacking in other rentals.
Well located by Putney Bridge it is tucked away close to an historic church and Bishops's Palace and Gardens. It is easy to visit a wide variety of interesting places both in the city centre and farther west, as well as locally. kew Gardens, Richmond Park, Hampton Court Palace are all easily accessible by public transport.
In addition to all this, Annie is terrifically helpful, very well organised, and efficient.
So much better than staying in hotels!
