We recently rented both properties on the site for a friends holiday, the main house is well equipped and very spacious le laiterie is smaller and lacks a few thing. Le laiterie swimming pool was out of use not a problem if you have both properties but it could be disappointing.
One problem that we had was that 2 of our party were tall this meant that 3 bedrooms in the main house were unsuitable for them to use due to low beams and short beds with foot boards , the doorways are also low.
There is plenty to do in the area Bergerac is an easy drive away , Chateau le Raz was excellent for a wine tasting and tour and the village restaurant Le Pressoir was superb and catered for allergies. The village Tabac garden was a great find.
The on site gardener is very inconspicuous however the dog that lives at the third house on the site is not and obviously thinks that he lives at all the properties, turning up regularly at mealtimes and even going so far as to steal food from the kitchen.
Le Manoir is great for groups and families, well equipped and plenty to do Le Laiterie less well equipped and needs a little TLC but still a pleasant place to stay.
A lovely holiday with some great memories .
A fantastic Château with plenty of space to get together as a family. It easily accommodated our party of 10 without feeling crowded. All three generations made good use of the pool and the local lake. Lots of open space for kids and dogs to run around in. Great indoor and outdoor space for dining and relaxing. Such a beautiful area of France with plenty of places to visit as day trips. The local food and wine is amazing. It’s a really peaceful and relaxing location.
