This is a small villa with a great pool and garden located on the outskirts of Ducal and within easy reach of Granada and the coast. It makes a great base for exploring the nearby Sierras and local towns of Granada, Ubeda and Baiza.
When checking in the owner, Rosemaria, will meet you in the village and show you to the villa, she doesnt speak English so make sure when you phone ahead that you are clear whet time you will arrive. The villa itself is well fitted out with a great supply of items has a nice garden and good sized and clean pool. The village is typical Spanish and not touristy. There are ample shops and bakeries within walking distance but we went down by car as it is a walk uphill on the way back on a narrow road. Local restaurants keep Spanish time in general so few open before 7 or 8 in the evening and some are only open Friday to Sunday but there are some great places to eat locally.
The local booking agent Fides communicates well during your stay making sure everything is OK and speaks English so is on hand if you need anything.
The property is a big rural property which is a 45 min walk to the centre of Granada. It is a working farm , so guests need to understand that. The stay was most relaxing with plenty of rural walks, trekking in the Alpujarras (about 1hr away) and the stunning history of Granada.
