We were half an hour late meeting Maria and her family... they didn't worry at all and soon Maria and her parents were showing us round the ground floor apartment in their family home in Pimonte - it is a beautiful house in as quiet a spot as you can find in Pimonte. Throughout our stay of a few days Maria and her neighbours were kind and attentive.
We were a few minutes from the centre of Pimonte and enjoyed sitting in the bar / pasticceria in the square and watching life go by. We ate in our first night and then enjoyed excellent antipasti and caprese to start followed by very good pizzas at La Scoiattolo around the corner from the bar. On the the third night we ate in the trattoria attached to the bar and had a fantastic meal of antipasti / bruschetta frollowed by porcini pasta all washed down with the house red - good quality food at a very fair price.
We visited Herculaneum one day (v. interesting) and Sorrento the next - lovely little harbour and good seafood.
Thank you Maria...
