  • Wonderful stay in Tuscany
    5 of 5

We were a family of 5 (4 adults and 1 baby) staying in the cottage (Le Rose) which is a lovely 3 bedroom house. All three bedrooms are a very good size and the two bathrooms upstairs with showers were a bonus. The house is extremely clean and well kept and the garden with views is wonderful. The gardener came during our stay to maintain the garden and outside. The weather was unusually cold this May so we didn't use the pool much, however in the usual heat it would be lovely. Facilities in the house are generally very good. The oven isn't very big so we struggled a bit with cooking anything in there but there is a BBQ and hob. Tina and her son Andrea welcomed us and gave us a tour of the house. They made us feel very welcome and were always there to answer any questions we had. The house is in a great location for trips to San Gimignano (20mins by car), Volterra (35 mins by car), Siena (55 mins by car) and Florence (15 mins to Castelfiorentina where you can catch a train). The house is also less than 5 minutes drive to the closest towns of Gambassi and Montaine where there are supermarkets and restaurants/bars. Overall we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Tuscany.

  • Cosy apartment with character in a beautiful setting

We loved the character of the place and the tranquil location. The owners are thoughtful and friendly. Shops for essentials are only a short walk away and Mercatale is within easy reach of so many of Tuscany’s attractions. The Chianti region is stunning.
