The Galinis were incredibly welcoming, kind & generous. The 3rd floor appartment was immaculately clean, spacious, airy with a lovely breeze on the veranda, which made an excellent eating area with views over to the sea. Great wifi.
This was the third property we had stayed in on our three week vacation. This was the only property which did not leave 'goodies' to get you started - not even a bottle of water in the fridge. However, on a positive note, the apartment was nice and spacious, had comfy beds, a very good shower and I must point out a USP particularly for ladies - it has a dressing table in each of the three bedrooms WITH A SOCKET TO PLUG IN APPLIANCES!! How good is that?! Seeing as the property sleeps six it would be a good idea to offer more than one key. For the size of the property, and being classed as 'Luxury' the lack of a proper balcony for sunbathing was a bit of a disappointment - just a very small veranda where you can sit (but the sun misses you due to the way the property sits). Being so central you are bound to get noise but with our stay being before the busy period it was o.k for us. I could imagine that when it gets busy in Rethymno it may be a little too noisy with passers by and people leaving the restaurant next door. The restaurant played gentle jazz music which we quite enjoyed, it wasn't too loud. On some mornings the church bells would chime VERY loudly, being so near, around 7am, but thankfully not every morning. We had a notice in the apartment asking guests to be quiet, yet it was the locals in the street and housemaids that made the noise due to talking so loudly! The housemaids came daily apart from Sunday which was a pleasant surprise and they were quite good at their job, the apartment was very clean. A nice apartment, but not sure if I would use it in peak season when it's busy
