The setting of the accommodation is idyllic and there is everything you could need in the villa. With the supermarket a few minutes drive away it’s perfect.
Choosing to lounge by the pool a few days was incredibly peaceful and the location serves great for exploring further north and up the coast.
Ivan and his family were so welcoming and accommodating, they treated us to fresh fruits and local delicacies.
Would definitely recommend
We stayed in the August heat and found the excellent air con invaluable. Chic, simple decor and all required conveniences were provided for a family holiday. The beds (a super king - 6 feet wide- in each bedroom) were extremely comfortable and we all slept very well. The only slight downside , which we suspect is a construction issue from the very new build, is that the rain head shower cubicle leaks large amounts of water when used. This was overcome by putting a number of towels against the door but we have suggested that this will need to sorted out for what is otherwise a luxury property (and the bathroom is beautiful). The views from the property are astounding. We watched super yachts and huge sail boats coming and going into the bay all week. The roof terrace was too hot to use during the day but was glorious at night. The house is at the sea end of the inlet and so is quiet and very beautiful. We were the only guests using the pool and the sea is 50 feet away. The bathing platform (the last one in the inlet- great views) is straight into very deep (but very salty, buoyant) turquoise water, which meant no swimming shoes were needed. They are usually needed to access almost any beach in Croatia. We enjoyed snorkelling (fish, sea cucumbers and urchins to see) from the platform. There are lots of small, shingle beaches in Vinisce, as you walk to the restaurants and small shops in the village (about 15 -20 minutes walk), which were pleasantly busy every day with local and holidaying Croatian families. The 5 or 6 restaurants are all very similar and were fine and reasonably priced. Don’t expect a sophisticated resort/town- Vinisce and lots of nearby resorts are pretty and very pleasant but quite humble. Ice cream in Croatia (and Vinisce) is cheap and excellent, which pleased the kids. We had a very relaxing week. We would also recommend d a trip to nearby Trogir (UNESCO city and very Venetian) - 20 mins away by car- and Krka National Park (amazing waterfalls, lakes, swimming in the river and boardwalk hikes over crystal clear riverlets and pools, full of fish) - about 1 and a half hours by car and very accessible independently.
