Thylbert was super! When my husband banged his leg on the table just when we arrived he rushed to get a bag of ice and drove me to the pharmacy to get Tylenol (it was a really big bump!). He was not only helpful but we had some fun conversations with him and we truly hope our paths cross again. The place is in a great location near to everything, the kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens we visited during our stay in Portugal , the place is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful shared backyard garden while sitting in the shade of orange and lemon trees. Occasional there was a fellow traveler from the Appartement next door in the back yard which only lead to further great conversations. The place is equipped with a washing machine, and again is very clean and comfortable.

  • Perfect location, very comfortable apartment!

We had spent whole winters in Tavira on two previous occasions (staying for 3 months and 4 months) so knew the place quite well. So it took us only a few seconds thought to decide to book Casa Asseca when we saw it was available. The apartment is delightful and centrally located next to the Roman bridge within 2 minutes walk of our favourite restaurant and all the facilities the town has to offer. One busker on the bridge on an otherwise idyllic Sunday afternoon - who knew the music of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan very well but sadly none of the lyrics - was the only, tiny, irritation of the entire fortnight but regular visitors know about the buskers so it wasn’t a problem - and we already miss the strains of Besame Mucho drifting across the river... Emma was a brilliant host, meeting us on arrival and calling in to say goodbye on a Saturday morning. Planning to return next year. Thanks Emma (and Ingeburg) for a great holiday!
