Parking is very steep and a touch narrow.
I am used to driving in Crete, the access roads are narrow and many local cars park along the route, personally I was OK with this, but if you are not used to driving off the main road, then that maybe an issue.
We had to make up our bed with sheets provided when we arrived, I realise the property is not serviced but I have never had to put sheets on my own bed when I arrive which was odd, the bathroom towels although fresh laundered were far from white, a bit off putting for us.
The bathroom was in need of a good freshen up we felt, but you dont live in the bathroom do you, you go for sun.
Kitchen was modern, but I felt the I had to wipe all the cupboard handles first. Plenty of things there just in case you forgot to bring something. Internet went off after 2 days, but that could be a Greek thing. A quiet area, Dimitris and Popy were very friendly and check to see if everything is OK. They also left us some water, coke bread fruit butter biscuits and treats. A little gem but not quiet a jewel. For the price very good value though and doubt it could be beaten at that price point.
We were sad to leave
We did wonder how we were going to find the property but Manolis was true to his word and we were met at the "Friends" Cafe at 1200 midnight and shown to the apartment and given information about how things worked and recommendations of where we might like to visit. The apartment was well appointed (loved the dishwasher!) and the beds comfortable. The apartment is convenient for all the local shops and beaches and has good car parking facilities. The outside space is small and a bit restricted, but you do get a view of the sea which is good. There is some traffic noise during the day but we were mostly out and about so it wasn't too bad. The bottle of Raki in the fridge was a surprise and only discovered towards the end of the holiday as we thought it was a bottle of water! The honey and cake we had been left all went down very well too. A good holiday!
