  • Lovely gite and good value.
    4 of 5

The gite is exactly as it appears on the photos - with beautiful gardens (space for kids to play) and private space to sit out and eat outside. The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you could want too (amazing cooker!) The location in the hamlet of Entrevergnes Haut is quiet (the neighbours do fix cars in their big garage out the front though - it didn't bother us at all but might bother those who want complete quiet)- and there are beautiful hill top and valley walks from the front door if you like a steady hike. There are errors on the HomeAway website which caused us a little misunderstanding when we arrived (there is no internet, towels and linens aren't provided) - but our hosts were very gracious and provided us with items we hadn't brought because of the mistake on the website. I'm sure this will be updated. The gite is perfectly placed to explore the granite area of Sidobre. There is a lake (reservoir) with a rocky beach 30 minutes away and local town Brassac is lovely for shopping etc.

  • Lovely gite, fantastic area.
    5 of 5

We stayed at the gite with some friends and their 2 children, so 4 adults and 4 noisy kids. The area is lovely. There is a lot to do locally and lots of advice if needed from the owner. We enjoyed seeing waterfalls, chateaux, local walks and so on. There is a huge water park in Castres if you need where you could easily spend the whole day. In St Pierre, 5 minutes up the road by car, there is a great restaurant with a built in library including childrens books, a smaller water park and the Adventure Park. The property is comfortable for 8. There is plenty of seating indoors and out. The kitchen is small but as you are holiday it's not a problem. If I was to make a suggestion it would be to have some small sharp knives and some tea cups/mugs - there are small coffee cups so maybe that is a cultural difference! The pool is amazing. It was the perfect size for the kids who were all at slightly different stages of learning to swim. And we had the most comfortable sunloungers! Overall we really enjoyed the stay.
