  • Amazing and Beautiful property
    5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here with our three children. The location is truly beautiful. The house is great too, comfortable and clean and has everything you could want, toys, games, movies for the kids and beach toys too. You do need to be mindful of the tide schedule to get in and out but if the tide is out we had absolutely no problem driving right up to the house in our SUV. We saw paddmelons in the yard and even on great and rainy days the view and location was just beautiful. *Note we stayed Jan 2018 (not 2017) but the form hadn't been updated to allow me to choose the right year.

  • A rustic beach shack with style and views!
    5 of 5

This property is a rustic beach shack, the original part of the building is 1930’s and has so much character. We loved the bright open living, dining and kitchen that wraps around the large central bedroom. However it is the 180 degree view of the channel and the mouth of the Derwent River that is the most wonderful aspect of staying at Sheashell cottage. We soaked in the view with every tea, coffee, wine and local ale. Angela is a warm and welcoming host and has filled the house with interesting books on art, history, literature and food. This property is comfortable, simple living with some tweaks of style and comfort such as the excellent beds, lovely dinner wear and tasteful furnishing. We loved our time at Denns point, the beach was perfect for our 6 year old, the cafe serves fabulous food...we would love to stay here again.
