  • A Cottage in Paradise

The cottage is located in a fabulous, short, palm tree lined cul-de-sac ending at the sea. Everything about the cottage is tasteful and delightful. It is fully equipped with just about everything you can imagine you will need. We were even allowed to use the pool of the adjacent villa when it was unoccupied ! Now that was a real bonus ! And the cleaners did a great job of changing sheets and towels regularly and generally keeping the cottage clean. The club membership to the Fairmont Royal Pavilion hotel a short way down the road was also a fabulous treat. This provided sunbeds and parasols on a lovely part of the beach. Unfortunately, like most of west Barbados at the moment, the beach that had been at the end of the road has been washed away for the moment. The good news is that there is still acces to the beach at the end of the next cul-de-sac only a few metres along the road towards Holetown. It was also a relatively easy walk into Holetown from the cottage either following the road or the beach or part of each. And a short bus ride home again with bus stops in both directions immediately at the top of the cul-de-sac. Wholeheartedly recommended !

Welcoming host. Did everything to make our stay comfortable. Air conditioned bedrooms, quiet and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Helpful and friendly housekeeper. We felt very much at home and part of neighbourhood. Beautiful beach on the doorstep. Helpful tips for places to go and see. Morning Catarmaran trip was booked for us on request, which was wonderful! Beach bar with excellent food at Batts Rock but even closer for a beer is the Bush Bar. 10 minutes drive to a well stocked supermarket and also 10 minutes to Bridgetown for duty free shopping. An excellent location.
