  • Beautiful house in pretty little Italian town
    4 of 5

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The house is spacious, with lots of levels, and kitted out with everything you might need. The pool is gorgeous and we used it a lot to look out over the countryside to the sea. Silvia, the housekeeper, met us and showed us around, and was available to answer any queries, always responding promptly. The town is pretty and has many restaurants. It is worth a wander around the back streets to discover ancient buildings and bridges. The Da Lalla was busy, with very friendly staff and a good menu, but in the town square we visited a pizzeria for lunch only to be told pizza was not on that day! What we did eat was good though. The walk back up the hill is short, but strenuous in hot weather, especially for those not quite so fit. We had a couple of issues while there. Firstly the retro games table in the games room was broken. Rob the owner took time out to try to fix it over the phone, but to no avail. One slightly disappointed teenage son there! We also had a problem with algae in the pool which was dealt with within a few hours by Silvia and was clean and usable by the next morning.

  • Very pleasant characterful village accommodation
    5 of 5

Plenty of room for all four of us and as others have said, easy car access to the seaside and nearby shops. Very comfortable beds and a quiet village atmosphere. Younger guests will love the medieval feel to the interior with its nicely renovated stone walls and original features. The short walk down to the car is easily made if you've willing helpers.
