  • Lovely apartment exactly as the pictures show

This is a lovely well equipped apartment with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is particularly well equipped (but put a sharp knife in your hold luggage!) and the bathrooms are great. We stayed here at the beginning of November so although the weather wasn't particularly kind it was still lovely to wander around the quaint town of Tavira. Dulce was there to meet us on our arrival to show us around the apartment and Jan and Paul were quick to respond when we texted them with a small problem. It was extremely quiet whilst we were there and the pool was freezing cold, but that is to be expected in November. Don't be put off by the steps down to the town they are well built and well lit at night, and even recovering from a broken ankle I managed to navigate them down and back up when we visited Sal No Ponto restaurant just at the bottom of the steps, which we can highly recommend and which seems to be used by many of the locals which is always a good sign. We can also recommend Mira Tapas Bar on the other side of the river, where they serve great and unusual tapas. We spent quite a lot of time there! And a trip over to Tavira Island is a must, even though it was a bit like a ghost town in November, but the beaches are lovely and clean, great for kids and the one restaurant which was open (La Sal) was pricey but excellent.

  • An authentic Portuguese accommodation in an ideal location for exploring both city and environs.

This is a comfortable city apartment, located on a busy street, beside a successful restaurant. The apartment provides a glimpse of the past, due to its heritage and many authentic aspects. The garden patio and outdoor grill allowed us to enjoy the mild November weather. We enjoyed the scent of orange & lemon trees as well! The ideal location allows the guest to walk easily throughout town and to the beach. Easy access to the train provides the opportunity to explore the Algarve’s fine towns at a modest cost. Our host Constant graciously answered many questions and was attentive to our requests. He also introduced us to his friend Eduardo who facilitated some tours and gave us great background on this area. We highly recommend this apartment and may return in the future!
