We arrived late in the evening to be greeted by Nikos' mother who was lovely and very welcoming. She had unexpectedly cooked as a lovely traditional Greek meal on arrival which was very much appreciated. She spoke good English and was able to give us a tour of the villa explaining the history of it and where to find necessity's. The villa as explained is approx. 7 km from the nearest town, beach and local restaurants. It was just what we wanted, away from it all but near to amenities. A car is essential to get around and having hired one from Tasos with the assistance of Nikos (which was very much appreciated) we visited many places around the Island. A great base and fantastic value for money. Many thanks to Nikos and his mother. We had a great time and would recommend to others.

This was such a lovely place to stay. Really close to the beach with the wonderful Taverna Efterpi just a stone’s throw away, where we had some delicious lunches, and lovely mornings drinking delicious coffee and playing dice. Haraki is pleasantly small, and the cottage is a short walk from the centre, so ideal if you like a bit of space, but close enough to keep shopping easy. Lovely hosts - full of life and really helpful. Because Haraki is sort of halfway down the island it’s a great base from which to explore the island. The beach is stony, but this is a bonus if you’re not too fond of crowded beaches. We are a family of three - a larger family might want to bear in mind that the bath (shower) room may be on the small side.
