Winters are therefore unsurprisingly cold with temperatures ranging between -10 and 0°C. Daylight hours can be as little as two in a day at this time of year. But that doesn’t mean the summers don’t get hot. Between July and August temperatures averages of 26°C are usually observed and on the odd day temperatures climb beyond 30°C.

Though holidaymakers can jet in through any one of the country’s six airports, most of them end up jetting in through the Vienna Airport, Austria’s biggest and busiest. A wonderful place to stay!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful 9-day summer stay in August, having come over from England (sorry this review is in English!). The house was fantastic and the area very beautiful. My eight-year-old twins loved climbing some of the local peaks, going to high-wire parks and local swimming pools. My elderly father was happy sitting on the great verandah, drinking a beer and watching the sun set over the mountains. We loved the little bread van that came each morning, and our kids had lots of fun playing with other children in nearby houses. We hugely recommend staying here. A perfect place for a relaxing summer holiday.
