  • A wonderful Holiday!

Initially i was a little concerned as no reviews existed on this property and wondered whether the pictures were accurate. Well, I have to say they are! I travelled with my husband, two children and my elderly mother. There are 3 bedrooms and the children loved the bunk beds. My mum preferred to stay in the master bedroom (with TV if anyone is interested) and en-suite. My husband and i stayed in the other bedroom which cannot be accessed through the main house so was very private. Ideal if you are travelling with another couple perhaps. The facilities were great and it was really a 'home from home'. The pool was great and on the days that we did not fancy going to the beach the kids were happy to be by the pool all day! It's a really good size with a deep end and with steps leading down to the shallow end . The owner was really accommodating and promptly responded to questions when necessary and helped make our stay perfect. The location was very quiet and considering it was August I was not expecting this. On a couple of nights you could hear music from a bar but only if you where on the patio area. There is a bit of a hill to/from the town centre but we managed it (my mum is 89). If we come back to Minorca we will definitely try to stay here again!!

  • Brilliantly located and unique

Fantastic. The property is of high standard and beautifully decorated. It is very well equipped. It has amazing views of the busy harbour and overlooks gardens and is a great place for people watching. Brilliant location for the city with lots of culture/art/music/food/shopping/bars near by. The bar next door is a great place to go to. This place is ideal for people looking for the ambiente/atmosphere of a place. Good for parking. We found a cheap pay and display which was 5 minutes walk away and we worked out when it was free to park on the pay and display near by. We stayed for 10 days and had food/ drinks in a different place everyday. There are vegan and gluten free options at lots of places. The TIC was really helpful with lists of restaurants and details on how to get to the best beaches etc. A hire car is needed for this or you can catch a bus as some beaches are only accessed by buses. The museum is very interesting and well worth a visit. The Centre D'art D'historia Hernandez Sanz is interesting too with temporary art exhibitions housed on the grounds of Hernandez Sanz's family home. There are lots of really lovely galleries to browse round too. There are 3 parts to the city. The harbour where you can walk one way and find more local bars, then the other way and you feel a bit like you are in Marbella. There is the old part of the city, where this property is located (Plaza Espana) and the new part (Plaza Espanalda). All are different but are equally good and great to explore. A boat trip is recommended and a visit to the local Sa Mesquida - we were so busy visiting different beautiful beaches around the island we did not find this nearby beach until the last day. We found people really friendly. The Menorquian language is really interesting however castellano is understood and most people can speak English if you get really stuck. The local white wine is beautiful and the "pomada" (local gin and lemonade) is good too. Our host was brilliant - easy to contact and communicative via whatsapp - the perfect host. We ran out of time to visit Cuitadella and have fallen in love with this property and Mahon.
