We loved our stay in La Garde-Freinet. Quaint little village with everything one needs. Close enough to the beaches to enjoy the sun and far enough from the crowds to enjoy the tranquility.

We have just returned from spending a really enjoyable eleven nights at Fiona Foley's house in La Garde Freinet. The property is right in the heart of the village and all the restaurants and shops are within a couple of minutes walk. The village is delightful and is really well placed for exploring the area - the tourist office provide a wealth of useful information and are worth a visit. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and had all the facilities and equipment that we needed. The two bedrooms are large, both with excellent en suite bathrooms. The ceiling fans in all the rooms were also really appreciated. We enjoyed excellent weather throughout our stay and so spent a great deal of time on the good sized rooftop terrace, enjoying privacy and good views of other rooftops and the mountains beyond. The rooftop kitchen, although small was well equipped and more than adequate for preparing pretty much all the meals that we ate at the house. We really appreciated this rooftop facility! Th shops in the village were better than expected, with two very good bakers and two very good butchers, as well as a small but useful supermarket. There is a very good Leclerc supermarket in nearby Cogolin. This is a charming house with bags of character and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
