Just returned from a fabulous 4 night stay at this beautiful Tuscan farmhouse. Can't fault the booking process, communication with owners or house in any way. Set on a quiet street but only 30 min drive from Pisa airport it had the views, comforts and facilities we wanted. Stayed with a group of 4 girls in Alba which was one of the larger ground floor apartments. We had been left a delicious lunch and bottle of local wine for our arrival which was most welcome. Francesco very friendly and helpful. The three resident cats were also lovely! We didn't eat out much as preferred to make the most of the delicious food and wine found locally so spent a lot of our time on our terrace or by the pool.
Would recommend having a car as we would have been a bit stuck without this. There are local shops but the supermarket is approx 10 mins drive away.
Set in a picturesque rural location, the property offered us the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. It’s well located for those wanting to do site seeing in Florence, Pisa and Siena.” As it’s just around an hours drive from each. Very convenient for stunning San Gimignano just 15 mins away.
The property could be described as a beautiful little 2 story house with kitchen with living area down stairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent (hot and powerful).
The kitchen although small offers plenty of facilities and enough space to prepare a meal. There is a small well maintained garden with outside table with 4 chairs to enjoy the evening over a bottle of wine.
The property is part of a complex has 2 pools, tennis court, children’s equipment. The complex was once included a spa resort with restaurant which unfortunately has since gone out of business. However the residents work hard to ensure the grounds and facilities are immaculately maintained.
The rural location does mean that a car is essential, as even the closest restaurant would involve a 30 minute walk down unlit country roads. Our host Franca was very attentive and ensured we had someone to meet us and show us around on arrive despite our heavily delayed flight meant we didn’t arrive until nearly mindnight.
Would highly recommend for those looking for a quite life. But will require a car to get around.
