  • Warm welcome, comfortable apartment and great neighbourhood for food.

A couple of minutes walk from the Metro brought us to the apartment, having passed small quality food shops we would later return to for amazing produce. Fernando gave us a warm welcome and a very helpful overview of getting around Rome by public transport. Also he recommended places to eat both more centrally and specifically local to the apartment. The apartment was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The layout suited us, two adults and a teenager, with the sitting room easily and very comfortably doubling up as a second bedroom with a good quality sofa bed. With the kitchen and bathroom being central it would suit two couples without any trouble. The balcony added to the available space, with somewhere to eat if the sitting room is being used as a bedroom. Public transport links were great straight into the centre of Rome, and the main tourist must see attractions, with the bus stopping 25m from the front door. We loved our visit to Rome, and having a comfortable apartment, in a safe and friendly neighbourhood, to return to each evening made it all the more enjoyable.

A few minutes walk to a metro station opens up all the sights you came to Rome to see. Mario was most welcoming and genuinely warm on arrival, and he gave us some useful tips for travelling round the city. Parking was right outside the flat which was handy, and we never moved the car all week. Just round the corner was the community of Pigneto, with banks, shops and restaurants, if you don’t fancy self-catering. We loved our week and would certainly go back to Casa Elisola.
