  • Stunning and spotlessly clean appartment
    5 of 5

Our stay in the apartment was brilliant. When we arrived we was greeted by Livio and showed the apartment. It is a massive apartment and everything was spotlessly clean and well looked after. We spent a week there and apart from the very hot weather (we managed to get the hottest week, so far this summer) everything was brilliant. Livio and Nina are a very lovely couple and we enjoyed living above them very much. When we arrived there was cold water in the fridge and a big basket of wonderful and fresh fruit and after about 4 days of our stay, Livio brought us a beautiful self-made cake, which we enjoyed very much. The village of Arcola is very quiet but if you walk over to the other part of the Village, you can find a few very good restaurants, an ice cream parlor, a supermarket, pharmacy, bakers and a few little bars where you can have a drink and enjoy the typical Italian way of life. We can only recommend this apartment, since you are quiet near to visit places like La Spezia, Sarzana, Lerici, Pisa and of course the Cinque Terre and you also have a lot of beautiful beaches within 10 minutes' drive by car.

  • Comfortable house convenient for the coast
    5 of 5

Sonia was at the house to meet us, show us around and explain how everything worked. This was much appreciated. We found the house extremely comfortable for our week's stay. Our upstairs bedroom suited us nicely: good bed, plenty of storage space, excellent quiet air conditioning and convenient large shower room adjacent. The very secluded outside space and seating areas were excellent. The secure gated parking was a bonus. The road at the side of the house is busy and can be noisy, especially at the weekend. The house is a short walk from the beach, local cafes and some small shops. There are several large super markets only a short drive away. It's in a great position to explore the area. There are trains from Massa Central station to the Cinque Terre (which is VERY touristy). Porto Venere is about an hour's drive. Parking is tricky but it's a lovely place. Lucca and lots of other old towns are also within easy driving distance.
