  • Just gorgeously relaxing

We were at la Hijuela for the third time and when we arrived we felt at home immediately. The owners Carin and Carlos make sure that nothing is left to be desired when you arrive. The finca itself is such a beauty - like a little paradise where you can recharge your batteries. We will certainly be back! P.S. La Muela itself doesn't offer many restaurants if you don't want to cook but there's one not very far away. It is called Patria and is well worth a visit. Do check there to find fresh Andalusian food served in style and with a view.

  • Lovely and quiet casita, just outside of Vejer
    5 of 5

Lovely and quiet casita, situated in a walled garden. The casita is very private and secure, entrance to the grounds is shared with the owners. View from the casita is into the garden. Very spacious with well appointed kitchen, including coffee maker and juicer. Small table for eating, sitting area with large coffee table, tv, WiFi, nice comfy bed and outside terrace with table / chairs and some deck chairs. Also a washing machine, which was an unexpected luxury. Swimming pool in garden. Great location for hiking with a number of varied walks close by, including right on the doorstep to aquaduct and watermills (well worth the visit). Vejer is close by for food shopping and restaurants. There was a lovely welcome pack with provisions for breakfast and fresh fruit, very much appreciated after travelling. We had some trouble with WiFi on arrival, very quickly sorted by the owners. Property is as described on the website. We would happily return here.
