  • great stay

We loved staying at Villa Magolia aka Pietra Verde for a week. Six (four adults , two children) stayed there comfortably. We loved the grounds and gardens. We cooked wonderful meals from the fresh produce that we collected each day. We had rented a car and enjoyed taking trips to Pompeii, Sorrento, Ravella, and Cetara. The pool area is lovely. It is an easy walk to the market down the street for any essentials. The owners are extremely friendly and came over several times either to show us around the garden or to respond to any of our needs. And they make wonderful pizza for you in the outdoor oven if you request it.

  • Fabulous Positano area Holiday Experience
    5 of 5

We booked this room (1of 2 rooms), part of a family restaurant, in Montepertuso, nestled in the hills above Positano, unsure of what to expect. Well, no need to hesitate, this was truly a place to experience. Our La Limonella room was comfortable, with lovely terrace seating for alfresco dining, with full outdoor kitchen to prepare your own meals. The views are absolutely breath taking, and there are many vantage points from which to snap memories of your trip. We met the guests who were staying in the larger La Botticella room, this was their 4th trip back to this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. We were treated literally like family guests by the family, including Papa Luigi, Mama , Vincenzo, Pepe and Giorgia. We enjoyed an authentic Italian cooking class in their family kitchen, and saw first hand the farm to table process that culminates in wonderful home cooked food served in the restaurant. The local bus to downtown Positano stops right outside the front door, and it's only a short 10 minute ride down the hill to town, where you will be in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Positano. Buy the bus tickets from the tobacco shop at the final stop in town, they are a bit cheaper than buying on the bus. We felt as if we were embedded in an Italian family, and will be coming back here again!
