The house is well located and easy for the ferry across to Valletta. 10 Eur for 7 day pass this included the lift to top of barracks and access to centre of Valletta. The house as character and everything you need is just yards for the house for restaurants cafes. Will be back.

  • This is a genuine Maltese home set in the midst of a Maltese community.

We decided that we did not wish to stay in a hotel for our holiday but to rather be in an apartment in a Maltese community and this lived up to our expectations. Whilst the kitchen and bathroom are modern style - the shower is excellent - both the bedroom and lounge are furnished in traditional style. There is a small front balcony and a roof terrace. We were made most welcome right from the start by owner Mary who furnished us with useful information during our stay and there was a very comprehensive folder also containing useful and comprehensive information appertaining to our stay. We wanted the flexibility of being self catering and the apartment was suitable for that. We were staying in the midst of the local community and so the shops were very much for locals, not tourists, and we liked that. Our favourite was the Pasterizzia at the top end of the street!! One other big advantage of the location of the property is the excellent bus links with very frequent buses into Valletta - from where you can get a bus to anywhere on Malta - and other routes close by the apartment which you can join directly. All in all this was an excellent apartment from which to explore the history and culture of Malta which helped us to have the most wonderful and unforgettable holiday and we would be more than happy to return.
